Christine Bohm’s Deviled Eggs

12/28/18

First, I Hope Everyone had a Wonderful Christmas?

Well as Promised from My Hard-Boiled Egg Post It’s Deviled Egg time…

I know your all saying, “Another Deviled Egg recipe”!

I honestly don’t remember how I came up with this one Years and Years ago!  I love Mustard, but I don’t like it in my Deviled eggs and Most people use Mustard or Mayo. Well not me.  I have even tried one year to make them with the Olive oil Mayo. They came out so Disgusting that my Family said Please don’t do that again!  I have not messed with the recipe since!  My Niece will actually FB message me to make her deviled eggs (This Batch was for Her)and my Spinach dip (Yet another Post in the Future).

Well let’s dive right in to the step by step recipe.

Items Needed

  1. Boiled Eggs that are chilled/cooled from the refrigerator. Bowl, fork & spoons, steak knife a cup of water, a small *Pampered Chef scoop (makes each egg have the right amount and no messy bags), sweet relish, Miracle Whip and Paprika.

2. Peel the eggs

3. Next Slice each egg in half and place the egg yolk in the mixing bowl.

4. Take the fork and finely mix the yolks to almost a powder consistency, then add in about two tables spoons of sweet relish for seven eggs.

5. It should now look like the picture above.

6. This is where it gets tricky!  Add in about two table spoons of Miracle whip mix, if it is still thick then add in more Miracle whip. You don’t want it to runny.

7. It should now Look like the picture above.

8. Next take the scoop and scoop the egg. I take it flat to the side of the bowl, this way I get the correct amount at all times. This eliminates over filling of the eggs.

9. Time to put the Paprika on.  Sorry I didn’t take a hand shot… I place a small amount in the palm of my hand and then take a pinch with the other hand and sprinkle it on each egg!

10. Wah-Lah now we have Deviled Eggs! They will go off as a hit and then you have a Go to for every Pot Luck!!!

Items & Ingredients:

  • Small Mixing Bowl
  • Small Scoop
  • Fork
  • 2 Table Spoons
  • Boiled Eggs – However many you are going to make (I usually use a dozen)
  • Paprika
  • Sweet Relish
  • Miracle Whip (I don’t recommend substituting this item).

I look forward to your comments once you have tried this recipe.
