So, I’m sure that we have all tried many different ways to boil the Best Hard-Boiled eggs? We all know that if they aren’t cooked correctly that we end up with either and under cooked egg, soft whites and that will cause the eggs to break while peeling. Then we have an egg that is useless!
Well I have seen many different posts and tips on how to’s. So, after trying various tips I finally came up with the Best way to boil the eggs. I have taken many different tips and combined them.
Below is my step by step Technic on boiling the Best Hard-Boiled Eggs.
- Items need.

- First fill the pot with faucet water, not hot.

2. Next Boil the water.

3. Once the water starts to boil you will then proceed to add in the eggs and the egg timer(Mine is older so it is discolored). If you add in eggs and they are cracked remove immediately so it doesn’t make the water messy and those eggs will not cook properly.

You can purchase the egg timer through Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_8?url=search-alias%3Dgarden&field-keywords=egg+timer+that+changes+color+when+done&sprefix=egg+time%2Cgarden%2C191&crid=CBWO8HENWCZ5
4. After the eggs are placed in the water you will want to add in Baking Soda.

You do this Because older eggs have more alkaline and the baking soda increases the alkalinity, which will make the eggs easier to peel.
5. I still set a timer, so I don’t forget that I am cooking! 12 minutes seem to be sufficient. But the egg timer will let you know for sure.

6. Once step 5 is complete turn the timer on stove timer for another 10 minutes and turn off the Heat. Cover the Pot with a lid.

7. When the timer goes off remove from the stove and run under cold water a few times and then place in cold water to stop the cooking process and let set for about a half hour. The egg timer will start to go back to red.

8. Dry the eggs and put back in the refrigerator until your ready to eat.
Here is an example of my peeled egg. I didn’t run it under water, but of course you will want to rinse your eggs after peeling. One little shell blemish… LOL!
